1. It makes the unconscious patterns conscious.

Sometimes I think we’re all just walking, talking bundles of trauma.
We enter the world tabula rasa and then bad shit happens to us, we become aware of our own vulnerability and mortality and we adopt patterns of being to cope with that.

Sure, good things happen too. But what we remember are the things that hurt us.

Those traumatic experiences shape the way we see everything — ourselves, other people, and the world around us. They are the lens through which we see reality. Every new moment is experienced through that lens.

But there’s a way you can begin to unwind this conditioning. You can practice stepping back and looking at the lens, rather than through it.

How do you do that?
